Work over the summer

Now I’ve finished my course until September, I have far more time (2 months actually) to finish some old stuff as well as start some new work. Here’s what I’ve been doing lately – will keep updating this page as and when I do something new

Finally finished my AS art course!

Completed the 5 hour exam on Thursday and it went very well, although I only just about finished in time.
All I have to do now is gather some inspiration over the summer ready for next year, where I make my own project proposal which will be great

I will post pictures as soon as I get all of my work back, but until then I have a lot more personal work/commissions I want to get done, which I will add as they are completed.

Thats all for now, I just have my other exams to worry about…

So I got some new progress stages of a watercolour piece – ‘Native’ This was for my ‘around the world’ project in As Art.

Results! And sketchbook project.

So happy about my GCSE results! (actually i think i’m still a bit in shock) – I got A*s on English literature, art, ICT, history and textiles which was amazing! what also amazed me was on the English lit I actually got 200/200.. full marks o.o
The rest were solid As and Bs which was really nice too So pleased!
Anyway like I said I have a sketchbook project which Im getting slowly through, so going to post up some work from there.

Here’s my latest work in progress (ok, so it looks very slow progress so far!)
Its a commission for my boyfriend’s family, copied from another picture. All going well I hope to finish by the end of the week

Update

Just an update on whats going on at the moment.

Firstly, went on a tryout day for college next year – everything was fantastic! I am looking forward to it so much. The art teacher gave us a small project, which was to fill a sketchbook full of direct observations, plants and so on. Was very glad to have been given some kind of occupation over the next 6 weeks to at least keep me a bit busy. She and all the other teachers were really nice

Secondly, I’ve been given a commission to work on which will take me a few weeks, will be posting progress pics up here hopefully too.

For now, though, here are some close ups of an old picture.

Finished school.. ish

So today we finished our ‘official’ school timetable. No more lessons! But now we have a bit of a revision timetable to prepare for the exams. After that we only come in to finish our exams. Its all getting so hectic! Feeling excited, nervous, under pressure at the same time. Also, a bit sad, as I won’t be seeing a lot of my classmates much again..

Anyway, here are a few closes of my latest piece. Won’t be finishing anything for a while now, as i have so much else to do.
